Your Scout will only provide location data if it connects with a cell tower. Connecting to cellular systems requires a fee that is paid to the cellular providers. Scout pays for monthly cellular services for all activated Scout devices, and your monthly service fee helps to cover that expense.

We ask for your credit card payment information to provide you the convenience of easy monthly automatic payments. Accepted payment methods are either by credit card: MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Discover. You can change the payment method on file by logging in to your Scout account from your browser and clicking “Change payment method” under “Payment Method”.
