Activate Your New Scout!

Complete the form below once you’ve completed the first three steps outlined to the left.

Before completing the form, complete the following steps:

  • Turn on your Scout and get a GPS lock

    Using a pen or paper clip, turn on the Scout by pushing the power button located on the bottom of the scout to the right of the micro USB charging port. This will make adding it to the app easier as it takes several minutes to achieve it’s first GPS lock.

  • Go Outside

    Although GPS can work indoors, to ensure a strong initial GPS lock place your Scout on a flat surface outside with a clear view of the sky. Once the three LED lights on the left  blink in unison, Scout has a GPS lock.

  • Complete the form and choose your service plan

    Completing the form will register your Scout and create your account. Once you’ve completed the form you’ll be prompted to choose a service plan. Once you finish purchasing your plan your scout will be immediately active.

After Completing The Form

  • Download the app

    Once you’ve completed the form and purchased your service plan, visit the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store and search for the “Findmyscout” app and install it on your phone or tablet.

  • Add your Scout to the app

    Create a username and password to log into the app. Once in the app select “List” in the top right corner. On the next screen choose “Add Scout”. You can either manually enter the 12-character QR code or use the QR code reader option.

  • Configure your Scout’s settings

    Inside the app you can configure all of the Scout’s settings including reporting rate, alarm sounds and even create your zones.
